The Listening Program

A music-based auditory stimulation method that improves the brain’s ability to process sound without distortion. This allows the brain to better perform the auditory skills needed to effectively listen, learn, and communicate. Individuals who benefit from this program are those experiencing difficulties in listening, sensory processing, learning, language, reading, attention, memory, social interaction, communication behavior, and cognition.

S.C.O.U.T Groups

Social Cognitive Therapy is a fun, motivating, and non-threatening way for clients to explore social interactions while increasing their knowledge of social expectations in a variety of settings, their awareness of their own behavior, and how to modify their behaviors. A treatment framework and curriculum using the ILAUGH® model and Social Thinking® (Michelle Garcia-Winner) is used to guide the group treatment strategies.

Interactive Metronome

A brain-based rehabilitation assessment and training program developed to directly improve the processing abilities that affect attention, motor planning, and sequencing. Individuals appropriate for this program are those experiencing motor planning and sequencing problems, speech and language delays, motor and sensory disorders, learning disabilities, and various cognitive and physical deficits.

Abbott & Burkhart Therapy Feeding and Swallowing Program

Abbott & Burkhart Therapy’s program provides comprehensive, family based treatment for children with feeding and or swallowing difficulties where the child’s growth may be impeded. Our therapeutic philosophy consists of a multidisciplinary approach facilitated by both an Occupational Therapist and Speech and Language Pathologist.
